“Work for the Night is Coming” is the name of a hymn that we often sing in church. The Wylers on Wheels team have been working for we know that the nights are coming that we will be involved in our new VBS program entitled “Reachout Rescue”. Every member of our team has been designing, preparing, and creating new ideas. Although we all have been working hard on VBS preparation, we had great meetings in some churches leading up to our summer. We recently ministered in Wellsville, Ohio and were so glad to spend Mother’s day Sunday with our long time friends the Timms family. It was great to see Pastor Timms’ ministry flourishing. We were also introduced to Pastor Butterfield’s church in North Canton, Ohio. My mother-in-law was asked to present, “This is my Story, This is my song” the life of Fanny J. Crosby, at a mother/daughter banquet. After a beautiful meal, the sixty mothers, daughters, and friends gathered to hear the amazing story of the blind song writer. We enjoyed the fellowship with the people of this church and were amazed at the beautiful facilities God has provided for them. As we honored our servicemen and women on Memorial Day with the dear folks of Troy Chapel, we were able to share with those at a local cemetery the hope that we can have in Christ. We also shared on this day a memorial with the passing of a dear friend of our family, Warren Smith. What a testimony to see the godly legacy of this family which was an inspiration to me to pass a godly legacy to my children. Warren Smith was able to be with us just a few weeks ago and was truly a blessing to my husband as he whispered in his ear for the last time, “Keep the banner high!” What a challenge for us all!
We are now weathering the heat of Georgia during our first week of VBS. The whole Wyler family is able to be with us as together we were able to celebrate Jerrill and Andrea’s first anniversary. Praise the Lord for His goodness to us as we continue to see Him work in the lives of children and adults through His saving grace. Pray with us that many would come to know Him as their Savior this summer. Check our itinerary to see if we are at a location near you. Let’s all “Work for the Night is Coming” and echo the words of that great Bible verse, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
