March 4, 2011 - Javonda's Journal: Entry #18
Dear Friend,
As my 17th birthday rolls around on March 15th, I am thinking about everywhere I have been since my last journal entry. My grandfather passed away this January 16th on his seventy-fifth birthday. He was such a joy to care for as we were in Greenville, SC for the last eleven days of his life. When I told him I loved him, the last words I heard him faintly say were, "I’ll love you forever and ever." I am personally thankful he is not suffering on this earth anymore.
When I think about last summer’s events, I’ll never forget the July 8th phone call of delightful news telling us that baby Titus had finally arrived! The whole time we were awaiting his arrival, I was convinced it would be a boy. That’s just the way it is in the Wyler family. Family is so important to me. I am very thankful my brother Jethniel, sister-in-law Judy, and nephew Titus can travel with us. I relish any time I can be with my brother Jerrill and sister-in-law Andrea who live in Port St. Lucie, FL. I wouldn’t trade my four brothers for a million sisters. I just wish we could all be together more often.
Also, I was able to go to youth conference with my best friend, Ashley Hager, and the youth group from Ripley Baptist Temple. It was a great experience, hearing the Word of God preached, a nd being involved with hundreds of young people my age.
I still love cooking, baking, and anything I can get my hands on in the kitchen. Other remaining interests include: vibraphone, bells, four-mallet percussion, voice, professional proofreading, American Sign Language, horses, couponing, organizing/cleaning, corresponding, and family. I have enjoyed brainstorming (as we call it) to develop our new Vacation Bible School program. It’s very exciting and I love sharing the gospel with others.
I hope to see you at one of our 2011 meetings: Jerrill’s ordination March 27th, VBS, a concert, or a spring or fall revival meeting. You can see an updated itinerary, pictures, and latest happenings on our web site www.wylersonwheels.com.Thank you so much for keeping in touch with me and being my friend. Grandpa Merrill’s famous statement, "You’re my friend!" comes to mind when I think of YOU!
Your friend,
Javonda Wyler |
