“As we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the Gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.” (1 Thess. 2:4) This month God has “allowed” us to serve him, not as pleasers of man, but as servants of Christ. The month of September started in Southern Illinois. At the conclusion of the revival week, the pastor shared with us how God had answered his prayer in sending their church “Revival, and not just a routine.” The next week we made our yearly climb up the mountains of western Virginia to be with the kind-hearted folks of the Skeetrock Bible Church. This congregation is truly a lighthouse of hope to a lost community. The 19th of September we started a great week of revival at the Locust Valley Bible Church. Every year the hospitality of these people is overwhelming. God also blessed as we saw two young ladies accept Christ as Savior. The following week we headed for Judy’s and my home church in Ephrata, PA. The three days prior to the revival meeting, we worked with the church at Pennsylvania’s largest street fair. We had a blast making thousands of balloon creations. As the child received the balloons, the parents gladly accepted a Gospel tract. During the street fair and the revival, it was wonderful to see God work as well as spend precious time with family and friends. Judy’s 6 year old cousin even accepted Christ as a result of our Kids-4-Christ program. As we humbly thank you for your continued prayers and support, we are thankful “we are allowed of God to be put in trust with the Gospel.”
